Who qualifies for ClearCaptions?
If the following four questions apply to you, you may qualify for a ClearCaptions Phone at no cost.
Are you hard of hearing?
ClearCaptions is designed for individuals with hearing loss who need captions to use the phone.
Do you live in the United States?
Since a federally managed program funds the ClearCaptions service, ClearCaptions is only available to qualified individuals living in the United States and/or its territories.
Do you have home internet?
The ClearCaptions service requires a reliable internet connection.
Do you communicate in English?
The ClearCaptions service is currently only available in English.

medical proof of hearing loss?
No medical certification is required! During setup, one of our trained ClearCaptions specialists will guide you through the self-certification process to verify your eligibility.


What happens after I confirm my
caption phone and service eligibility?
Once we confirm your caption phone eligibility, we’ll find the best day and time for a ClearCaptions specialist to come to your home and set up the phone for you at no charge. We’ll take the time to walk you through your new phone and its call captioning service, making sure you’ll always feel confident using it.
